Welsh Legends - King Arthur Excalibur Sword Mug
North Wales is home to many wonders, but there are at least three lakes which bewitch the wanderer. In the heart of Snowdonia National Park you will find the beautiful lakes of Llyn Llydaw, Llyn Dinas, and Llyn Ogwen. Each of the lakes lay claim to holding within it’s waters King Arthur’s magical sword, Excalibur. King Arthur, after being mortally wounded in battle, is taken to a lake. At the lakeside he requests one of his Knights to throw the sword into the water. The hand belonging to the lady of the lake reaches from within it’s waters and catches the sword, taking it below with her into Myth and Legend.
